About the Role
We are seeking reliable and experienced Security professionals to join our team!
Security professionals will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our premises, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and providing a welcoming environment for our patients, customers and staff.
Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older and comply with all state regulations governing the sale of cannabis products.
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in security or law enforcement preferred.
Active Protective Agent License with DPS and the Minnesota Board of Private Detective and Protective Agent Services.
Previous experience as a Security Guard or Loss Prevention in a retail environment required; direct experience in a cannabis dispensary preferred.
Strong knowledge of security protocols and procedures, including surveillance techniques, access control, and emergency response.
Strong knowledge of Minnesota cannabis laws and regulations.
Excellent observation and communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations.
Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol the premises to prevent unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, or other security breaches.
Maintain a visible presence on-site to deter criminal activity and provide a sense of security for patients, customers and team members.
Conduct routine security checks of the facility, including entrances, exits, and parking areas, to identify and address any security concerns.
Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems periodically or as-needed to detect and respond to security threats or suspicious activity.
Enforce company policies and procedures, as well as state regulations governing the sale and use of cannabis products.
Escort patients, customers and team members to and from the premises as needed, ensuring their safety and security.
Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, or incidents, including medical emergencies, fires, or criminal activity, and take appropriate action to resolve the situation.
Document and report any security incidents or violations, including theft, vandalism, or trespassing, to management and law enforcement as necessary.
Collaborate with other team members and local law enforcement agencies to address security concerns and maintain a safe environment.
